I created this music video for one of the most well known Iranian rock bands, Kiosk, during the COVID quarantine. It was made entirely using junk materials and by experimenting with various techniques including stop motion, 2D animation, puppets, live action, projection, and more.
Since it was during quarantine and no one was around to help, I handled everything myself. I built the props, did the photography and compositing, and even acted in the video.

Flickerlab has worked with Michael Moore on his films over the past thirteen years, including Bowling for Columbine, Fahrenheit 9/11, and Capitalism: A Love Story (top left). We also collaborated with him on one of his music videos for a System of a Down track, Boom (top right).
Some of my other political projects include a campaign ad for Obama during the 2008 election (top right) and a TV spot for MoveOn PAC, which we created from concept to final delivery in just 24 hours.

complete Halloween TV package for AMC's Monsterfest, designed to look as if an evil virus had taken over the channel. The package included a series of mini horror films, logos, opens, closes, bumpers, and transitions.

Working on this TV spot made me realize how much I like old-school design, when graphics were simple and hand-made. It was one of my first projects after moving to NYC, and inspired everything I've designed since.

CHALKBOARD ANIMATIONS

A schoolroom chalkboard comes to life in this animated spot we created to promote the work of New Leaders, a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing excellence in educational leadership at the ground level. Every frame was hand drawn and erased directly on a chalkboard to create this stop-motion animated piece. We still find chalk dust in the most unexpected places.
